That’s How I Roll

$500.00
sold out

Laureen Axtell

Mixed media

14”x 11”x 1.5”

Through my work, I recreate and repackage the “old west” in a contemporary way. Utilizing vintage photos, I place them on an abstract, mixed media background, add a bit of humor and create a new look at the old west. In this piece, the vintage rodeo rider exudes “attitude.” With his “roll-your-own” cigarette clinched between his teeth and a tip of his hat to the viewer, he seems to say, “That’s the way I roll.”
