Bolo Lingling-O

$300.00
sold out

Gabriel Hutchings

12”x 4”x 1”

This necklace is a hybrid of a bolo tie and Lingling-o, an amulet from the Philippines, originated from the Igorots. I connected with this symbol of heritage. The bolo tie is associated with The West and ties me to being of American nationality, half white, and born in Houston, Texas. While either being in The United States or The Philippines, I felt like an outsider. I transcend the West by expressing my own unique culture.
