Unscathed Resilience

$0.00
sold out

Chuck Brenton

Video, frosted acrylic, mat board, bronze. 2023

My aim is to capture the essence of resilience amidst ravaging wildfires that consume the Western landscape. Filming the elk herd in the fire-stricken Cameron Peak area, a place I call home and had to evacuate, I merge their undisturbed movements with GPS collar data from Colorado Parks and Wildlife during the fire. This fusion reveals the elk's unfazed demeanor amidst destruction, epitomizing nature's unwavering endurance.
