These images are studies of the aftermath of recent Northern California wildfires. The omnipotent power and violence of nature unleashed onto the human altered environment can be perceived by what is left in its wake. The scars and traces wrought by this natural transformation is not unlike that of ruins, but time and decay is compressed to the point of being almost instantaneous.
