$2,200.00

Marcus Vincent

oil and wax, acrylic, on cradled panel

32" x 23.75" x 3"

Finding the State of Life in our contemporary situation rife with contradictions and maledictions, these works are part of the “Losing Ground” series that present a lamentation of things in jeopardy. We live in a time where authoritarian despots threaten other nations: deregulation threatens the environment unraveling decades of efforts toward responsible conservation in resultant global warming. Entire ecosystems are threatened and burning. It is all madness Death seems very close, and presses upon the senses. It’s a lamentation for the demise of the environment and in our mental capacity for reason that contribute to the destruction of all things.
